Social anxiety is a destructive pattern that can make social interactions, work meetings, parties, and even spending time with friends highly uncomfortable.
Worse still, social anxiety is on the rise. One recent multi-national survey of over 6,000 people found that a shocking 36% of people qualified for criteria for Social Anxiety Disorder. Interestingly enough, when these people were asked, “do you have social anxiety”, many of them said “no” even though their assessment showed they did.
